Lagos gang leader, Sunday Terror, killed:

 
A gang leader popularly known as Sunday Terror has been shot dead in the Oyingbo area of Lagos State during a shootout with policemen.
Our correspondent learnt that Sunday Terror was killed on Monday on Ondo Street.Our correspondent gathered that at about 7am on Monday, Sunday Terror led his gang to unleash violence on residents of Ondo Street during which he exchanged fire with policemen who went to the scene. A police source told our correspondent that Sunday Terror was shot several times before he finally died.
It was gathered that the deceased had been on the watch list of the Area C Command, Surulere.The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Dolapo Badmos, confirmed the gang leader’s death, adding that the command would continue to ensure safety of lives.

A bit of Justice to Wike

The Court of Appeal sitting in Abuja, yesterday, expunged (removed) some paragraphs of the petition that led to the annulment of the April 11  governorship election that brought Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State to power. In a judgment it delivered, a three-man panel of Justices of the Appeal Court headed by Justice Datti Yahaya, struck out portions of the petition alleging that security agents were used to rig the election in favour of Wike and the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP. The decision of the appellate court followed an interlocutory appeal that was lodged before it by the APC and its governorship candidate in Rivers State, Dr. Dakuku Peterside.
